How it all began

When I first started creating, I wasn’t aiming to become an artist. I simply wanted something simple, cozy, and meaningful to hang on my wall. Something minimal, with a touch of texture. Like many others, I scrolled endlessly through Pinterest, searching for that spark.

I came across a few beautiful textured designs and thought, “Why not try making one myself?” So I grabbed some air clay and started experimenting. But the result? Not exactly what I had imagined. It felt flat — both literally and emotionally.

That’s when curiosity kicked in. I started searching for ways to give my piece more volume and depth. I discovered texture paste and other mediums that brought a new dimension to my work. One thing led to another, and I found myself more and more drawn to this new world of textured art.

What began as a small DIY project turned into a growing passion. I bought my first few canvases, mixed mediums, and tried techniques I had never heard of. Nothing felt “perfect,” but I couldn’t stop. I wasn’t satisfied.. and maybe that’s what pushed me forward. I’ve always been hard to please when it comes to my own work, but with every attempt, I learned and I grew.

Thinking back, I realize creativity has always lived in me. As a child, I was the one collecting bits and pieces — chocolate boxes, magazines, old jars — and turning them into something new. I tried drawing, origami, quilling, crafting paper bags… all kinds of crafts. They were fun, but none of them truly felt like me.

I’ve asked myself so many times: What am I doing? Who am I, creatively? And the only honest answer I’ve come to is this: I’m someone who simply loves making stuff. I love upcycling and turning things into something beautiful and meaningful. That’s just who I am.

I’ve come to believe that being an artist doesn’t have to fit into one box. I don’t stick to one medium or style. My ideas change with my mood, my emotions, my thoughts. Some days I’m crafting lamps, other days it’s textured wall art and sculptures. And that’s exactly what I love about this journey.

So, call me what you will.. maker, artist, crafter. I know one thing for sure: I am a creative soul. I explore, I experiment, I feel deeply, and I create with my hands.

This is how it all started. And somehow, I know it’s only the beginning.

Thanks for stopping by the studio.

Keep making magic! Until next time!
